This ‘Guitar For The Improver’ course is aimed at those who want to advance their skills and knowledge on the guitar. It progresses on from the beginners course. With a progressive and logical structure in mind, you will learn the most common barre chord positions, music theory with immediate application to the guitar, and rhythm techniques used in Pop & Rock styles. There will also be a focus on finger-style techniques used primarily in Folk and Blues, and more in depth soloing/improvisational techniques. All aspects of this course will be learnt with application to a selection of great songs. This course provides hands-on tuition by a professional guitarist working in the industry. Each lesson provides detailed handouts/transcriptions of all the material learnt. Just bring your acoustic guitar, a folder for your handouts, and if possible, a guitar tuner.
This course is suitable for those who have completed the Beginners guitar course or who already have guitar playing skills which they wish to improve upon.
